2011 Legislative Session, Talking Politics

Believe it or not, we are not too far off from the beginning of the Texas Legislative Session.  The 82nd Session will begin on Tuesday January 11th, 2011, and once again ACCA-Texas will be monitoring issues that will most likely include insurance, sheet metal worker licensing, margins/franchise tax, potential new refrigerants, and many other aspects of the HVAC industry.  Our voice will remain strong, however, we do need your help and support in contributing to the TACCA-PAC.  With the primaries upcoming, and the November General Election eight months away, our support of candidates who are favorable to our positions needs to remain firm.  Supporting the TACCA-PAC is one of the most important aspects of our Legislative Agenda, and we look forward to your ongoing and continued support.  Contact me here at ACCA-Texas, todd@tacca.org, or 800.998.4822 for more information on how you can help support the TACCA-PAC.

Can Stimulus Money Benefit Your Company?

Everyone has an opinion on the status and state of Stimulus Money that has been pouring out of Washington.  We aren’t here to debate your feelings on that, just wanted to give you a bit of information on some of the funds that could be available for your customers in upcoming months.  We highly encourage you to visit http://www.texaspowerfulsmart.org, the State of Texas’s Energy Conservation Office in regards to Appliance Rebates, of which HVAC/R equipment could apply.
